Random me and life

Oh my gosh. I was such a child back then! Every time I read what I wrote before, I am like "Did I really wrote this? Did I felt this way?" As in like, for real? But I laugh it off. Everybody has their own child-ish moments. At one point in our lives, we really did those things in the past and really felt that way. Haaay.. my teenage years were just too cheezy. I was such a hopeless romantic!

I started watching One Tree Hill again, by the way. The reason I am getting addicted to quotes on life and love. You know, I learned a lot from that show. I don't know but they make sense. It's not all about sex, love, friends but about life as a whole. Life's a bitch, I know. But we sure fight as hell to be alive. It's all worth fighting for, I guess. Life might be a roller-coaster ride but it's worth it in the end.

Letting go and starting anew..

One of the reasons I am thankful are the people that I meet, people who come and go in my life, and my friends..

It's my last day at the office and I never thought I would be this emotional. Yes, I am prepared that I am going to leave, however, it is the way we said goodbye that made me cry. I appreciate all the messages given by people who are close to me and those who are not, who even took time to write even just a short phrase or message. All I can say is thank you.

I am really, really grateful for the people that I was able to meet and become friends with during my 1 year stay in the company. I never thought I would have such a great ending, with the slightest regret on leaving. Of course I didn't like the fact that I'm going to leave the people who'd been closed to me already, but I also do believe that it is the right decision. I know that wherever I'll be, I'll soar high and make the desires of my heart come true.

A big part of letting go is recognizing
when it is time to stay in a situation
and when it is time to move on.

Nang mapuno ako. Let go of the BV.

Well, well, well. Thanks for making my day. This is BULLSHIT! YOU ARE BULLSHIT! AND VERY STUPID. How come you are in that position? People doesn't know the real you. I hope you go to HELL, where you perfectly belong. Thought this would be easy, but then as days go by, you are making our lives MISERABLE. Can't you see? Sabagay, pano mo naman mapapansin yun eh sobrang selfish mo. You only care about yourself. Your 'thank yous' doesn't matter at all. Lahat pakitang tao.

And you know what, even though you have that title attached to your name, I think I'm smarter than you big time. Malay ko bang you're so stupid enough para hindi alamin kung pano tawagan ung mga taong dapat kinakausap mo. WTH?! And you expect us to act properly? Why don't you serve as a good example to us? But how will I forget that you are who you are. You'll never change. You'll always be the selfish bitch that you are now. HAHAHA. I pity you actually.

Thank you for teaching us how to be strong. And patient. Most especially, thank you for making our lives so fed-up and at the same time, a living hell. You're the best. You must know that.

BTW, thanks ha.

LAST.

2 o'clock PM, 18 FEB 2011

This day doesn't end yet but I'm here, writing my last journal entry to be able to submit my practicum report. I'm quite thrilled to finish it and pass, so here I am.

TGIF again! We doesn't have much to do today. A relax time for all of us. Plus... our boss isn't here. She's attending an exhibit outside the University, so we're free. A little. Haha. Segway lang, Trixie is planning to have an under time at this moment. Though she's still deciding whether or not she'll go undertime,a major part of her wants to go home early. I think it's okay since she has already rendered enough service at this office. 1 hour under time isn't an issue.

We did media monitoring in the morning. For me, it's kinda boring, but we have to do it. There's no choice. Anyway, an hour before 12, Kuya Rom had to go to SMX with Ma'am so we acted as tour guide for the students of Aklan State University as substitutes. Brought them to the Museum then to the QuattroMondial. Quite fast since Kuya Rom has already brought them in the Educ Bldg which was first in their itinerary. Then that's it. Afternoon was another free time. A little. :)

6.15 PM

**We did went home an hour earlier than the usual. Since there's not much to do, they allowed us. Good thing it's Friday. Hoping for a HAPPY weekend. :):):)

Almost there.

USTv? Check. Yehey. It's done. One more big event to go. The Q Fashion Show on the 24th. At least tonight, I'll have something to write about. We did some media monitoring this morning. There's too many newspapers to check, but actually, some were already checked by Trix yesterday. We were like.. "Okay. Think we're stupid?" Our theory was that, they don't have something for us to do so they're thinking of tasks to assign to us. Anyway, We didn't finish the newspapers (Thank God!) instead, We were called back in the office to do some works. First was the seat labels for today's event. Next was the Media ID's. Then lastly was going with the usherettes in the entrance area.

Saw some artists today, of course. Coco Martin is oh soo handsome pala. Never did I saw him as that handsome. But that perception of mine towards him ends tonight. He's really gwapo. However... he's not that tall. Anyway it doesn't matter. :) Also saw Nikki Gil personally and goodness, she's gorgeous, really. I wasn't able to recognize her immediately, but when somebody called her name, I was like "Oh gosh, si Nikki Gil". Because you really won't recognize him agad. Looks more beautiful than in TV. Wow. There's also Boy Abunda, Kim Atienza, Jessica Soho, Ted Failon, and etc. Ginger was also there. So tall. Like her shoes, by the way. HAHA. :)

Just one thing. I think our office should also be called LMO. Know why? It's 'cause during events, there also be something that needs to be done at the last minute. They love cramming, I supposed. HAHA. Just kidding. LMO = Last Minute Office. :)

Anyway, I had overtime today so I will be able to finish my practicum earlier than expected. I hope. Quite excited for this summer.
I don't have any meaningful thoughts today. Trix and I are really getting along well. She's my one, true friend. Seriously, no joke. Because with her, I can really tell everything. Whatever it is. Without being ashamed. She's really my confidante. One of the persons I trust most next to my boyfriend. I might not be able to tell her, but I really do appreciate her being around.
Hope our friendship will last.

GLOOMY?

Here I am again. Blogging. Journal.

Went to office at 12nn today. Had to go somewhere else in the morning. We had visitors again. They're from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University in Ilocos. Fourth year college students major in elementary education. They had a good time, and us as well. It was nice because they're all listening to you when you talk. Not like other people. They also gave us little tokens of appreciation, FOOD. And gosh, they're great. Cornicks are great. :) After that, back in the office. Continued my practicum report. Then went home.

Hmm. It's really hard to write something when you have nothing to write. Life in the office is a routine. Same everyday. Not unless, there's an event. Tomorrow for sure, I'll have many things to write about. It's USTv Students' Choice Awards. There will be so many media for sure. We're gonna get busy. Wish that everything will go well.

That's for now I think. More stories tomorrow. Ciao. (Isn't it obvious that it's boring in the office? I have no stories to write about.)

CHILL.

CHILL. That's how I would describe this day in the office. Barely nothing to do again. I just faxed some invites to the media asking them if they can cover the USTv Students' Choice Awards on Thurs. But it was around 3.30 na. Before that, we were doing nothing. Its not that I don't like it this way, but its getting kind of boring, doing nothing. Me, personally, I was just checking my email again and again, and looking for possible jobs in the future. Hehe. It was really a chill time. :)

Nothing much to say today, actually. Tomorrow we have a tour in the afternoon. Then day after that, it's USTv. It is a big event so we'll be busy for sure. But for now, I'll just enjoy whatever free time I'm getting. At least, I could do my edit and finish my pract report. :)

By the way, I'm thinking of having a half day only tomorrow. I want to accompany my boyfriend to Amnesty International for an interview. Hope his designs would be appreciated. *fingers crossed*

It's Hearts Day. LOVE.

Happy Hearts Day! Bawal ang bitter ngayon. :)) It's Valentine's Day so everyone is getting cheesier by the minute. So many flowers around, so many boys proposing to their girls, and so many girls enjoying the attention that they were given. Well, hope everyone is happy and spreading the beauty of love. That's, what I think is the significance of this day. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. :)

Hmm. What did I do today? Barely nothing. Just made some tokens in the morning, answered calls the whole day, and that's just it.No big events still so we are kind of, free. Free from everything. HAHAHA. Oops. I just remembered that we had a tour in the afternoon. It was quite funny because when the guard called in the office to informed us that the students were already here, I kind of panic because no one was around at that moment, even Trix was out. So I called OFAD for the orientation, then I called Trixie. Then their supervisor came to our office to inform me personally re their arrival. I told him courteously to wait at the lobby because I will just prepare something. I thought it would be alright. When Trixie came back, we went outside immediately, then TADA! No one was in the lobby. We looked for them outside, at the Plaza Mayor, at the back, basically we searched the whole ground floor. We could not find them. When we talked to the guard, he told us that one Science student went to our guests and brought them upstairs for the Science week career orientation.

What the?! That was a different career orientation from what they are supposed to listen to. So what we did? We went upstairs and get back our visitors. Their supervisor thought that that was it. Maybe, because he was not not familiar with the University, he thought that that was where they're supposed to be. Too bad. But in the end, we were able to bring them to the right room where they were to have a career orientation organized by Sir Steve from OFAD. Good thing their supervisor is kind-hearted. :) Our visitors were from St. Mary's Angels College of Valenzuela, I forgot to mention.

All in all, this day was just chill. Stress-free still. Happy Valentine's Day again. :)

OT

Okay. Here we go again.

Thank Goodness It's Saturday. Another 8-hour working day had passed. At least I had my overtime. Yehey. I'm now on my 455th something hours. 150 something to go and I'm done. Got to work, work, work. :) Anyway, we had to attend an event today. It was at 3pm. A program prepared by the Angeles University in Pampanga and the Confucius University. And also the Fujian Normal University in China. Hmm. It was kind of confucing. Anyhow, so we attended the event. I enjoyed it a lot, especially the exhibit. I really learned a lot of chinese words and I even memorized a Chinese sentence, which just means "What do you want to eat for noon?" Hehehe. Funny right? That was the very thing that I remembered. :) I also took a picture at the photo booth of theirs. All the gadgets are really high-tech.

In the morning before lunch time, I accompanied a photographer from Manila Bulletin as well. She wasn't that familiar in the campus so I had to go with her. Took pictures of the UST landmarks, and also a couple of shots of the students. Good thing she still had good shots even though there's lots of hindrances like the tents at the Plaza Mayor, the people, students and such.

Then right after lunch, I, together with Ate Micha, were able to meet some brothers and sisters from the Asia - Pacific Formation Center. They visited the University for a tour of the campus, the Museum and the Lumina Pandit. But due to time constraint, since they arrived quite late for their schedule, they were only able to visit the main building and the museum. They had to leave immediately because they're following their agenda for the day.

And that was it. That was how my Saturday went. Tiring because we were really runnign out of time, according to our boss. So you know, we have to move, move, move. One funny thing happened to me, I forgot to say. I had to quite carry the super heavy welcome board. I was asked to do so, and transfer it inside, so do I have the right not to follow? Good thing a miracle happened. Cannot believe this would happen again. Gusto kong kumanta ng IMPOSIBLE. HAHAHA. Actually it's an inside joke between me and Trixie. It migh sound weird to others who do not understand what it is like to work with our office. There's one important thing that you must learn how to do. MAKE THE IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE. Like bringing some heavy things to a specific place, ALONE. :):):)

Change will come at the right time.

A more meaningful journal day 2.
Hi. Here I am again, trying to make my last few journal entries significant.

Well today is just another ordinary day in the office. Though we were asked to make an itinerary, info kits, and guest book for the guests on Saturday, it was just again, the same thing that we do everyday. It was already a routine. Our work is more like a routine, I think. Once you get used to the office, the same things are done most of the time: you answer phone calls, do the front lining, listen to complaints of those who are looking for the Quadricentennial merchandises, and etc. Everyday is like that. In Tagalog, nakakasawa na talaga minsan. I mean, if my life would be like this in the future, it'll be crazy. People need change. I NEED CHANGE. But I guess, before I can get that change that I want, the days in my life would be like this until the first week of March. Must learn how to be patient and wait for the right time.
If a person is not really 100 percent into whatever he/she is doing, he won't be happy and won't be able to give his/her best shot at work. I'm not saying that I'm not happy with my present practicum site. Don't get me wrong. I'm still thankful that I was able to attend special events and met some of the staffs, especially Trix because she is one hell of a friend. :) It's just that, this is not really what I want. I get used to the work, but there's really something more that I would like to do and want to be. But still, I know that I will learn a lot from this experience. And in some way, this would make a difference in my life.

I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but this certain person really gets on my nerves at time, especially these past few days. It was the very same person I was talking about yesterday. He is really an attention - seeker, to the max. As in. He keeps on using me/us in his jokes all of the time to get noticed. If I know, whatever he's saying that we are, he's talking about his freaking self. HAHA. I know, I'm being such a b**ch. But what the heck, he's really irritating. It's like I'm in my stay-away-from-me face while I'm talking to it. Too bad he just wasn't able to get it.

Anyhow, Trix and I went to the job fair as well. Passed my CVs at SMART, goKUMON, and NESTLE. Will I get the chance on those companies? Well, hopefully I will.

This is my day. Hope it makes sense.

It will all be over.. soon.

Hello. I'm planning to make the last few entries of my daily Journal for my practicum report more meaningful. So, I'm trying to do my best and use my writing powers...

Hmm. What did we do today at the office? Well, just the usual. We answered phone calls, did the front lining, did whatever it is that they asked us to do. I think that's all. Anyway, today is a little bit different because our ordered us to do a Campus Tour script and a guest book for the visitors. Seriously, is there a need for a campus tour script this time, when we have already conducted several tours without using any script? Well, another side comment coming from me, but it's just on my mind. I can't say it out loud. Risky. :) Anyway, we did it. It turned out long, I guess. Three full pages. We can still use it as a guide though. There's still several campus tours scheduled this month.
Then we did the guest book. Used our own creativity with it. *BTW, when I say ''we'', it's Trixie and I.*So we created something. Presented it to her, the guest book design was rejected, and the campus tour was, okay. Guess we have to figure out what design would she want in a guest book.

Whenever we have free time, we maximize it. How? We do our practicum reports. We're getting closer to the end actually. It was nice seeing my report getting complete. T'was a relief. Yey.

In the afternoon, there was a campus tour scheduled. The students were from Small World Christian School in Baguio. 3rd year students. I volunteered to the one in-charge, but then when they arrived, I realized that he doesn't need me anymore. He can do the tour alone. He even said that he can handle it himself, yesterday.

Well, I think that's it. One thing I just want to share... that sometimes, you just can't stand someone for some reasons. Maybe it's because they are an attention seeker? I just don't like persons like that. If you want somebody to notice you and get their full attention, go on. Just please don't use me to get what you want. Well, what the heck? Does it matter? He'll do it over and over again. It's him. It's his personality.
I pity him actually.

Quite angry? No, I'm not. I'm just in my please-don't-talk-to-me-cause-I-really-can't-stand-you mood at that time. It'll pass.

We are also evaluated today. Said we did greatbut there's a 'but' in the end. We took whatever was said as a learning and try not to do it again. No matter what the grades given to us are, I think it's something that we deserved, in her eyes.

Something just comes up to my mind. You really cannot work successfully in a place or in a field that you do not 100% like. Giving your best is not enough. I mean, you have to be in a position where you're really happy and most of all, you love what you do. That's where success comes from.

"Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."

Disillusionment

Something has been bugging me. And it's very confusing. I don't know what I'm thinking. It just happened. It's not right. This shouldn't happen.

Monday, July 5, 2010

I'm just tired. :/

We fought again.

It's not a big fight. It's just another meaningless misunderstanding.

It's always my fault.

But I had to admit. Sometimes... it is really my fault. But somehow, you know, I get tired.

I get tired of defending myself. I get tired of those times when we fight over simple things. I get tired of those misunderstandings.

Ako nalang ung laging nanunuyo...

So what I always do, I just keep quiet. Shut my mouth and let him think what he wants to think. I guess, he also had those moments when he really doesn't believe what I say. That I'm just inventing reasons to get away with the issue. I let him believe that if that's what he wants. I'm just tired of explaining myself to him.

Haaay..

But I'm not giving up.

I love him. In the end, that's all I can say.

HAPPY! Shalalala... It's so nice to be happy...

H A P P I N E S S

I guess it's a word that is very important to every single person. A state of mind that people want to achieve. One thing that people would die for just to have it.

Some say you are happy if you have everything that you want. You're happy if you could do anything. You're happy if you have freedom. You're happy if you have this, you're happy if you have that.

In my own opinion, happiness is more than just that. Happiness doesn't only rely on material things, freedom, etc. In order to be happy, you must also take your own actions into consideration. Am I doing the right thing? Am I on the right path? Do I have control on myself? Well these questions probably need to be answered. For you to be happy, you must act according to your reason. You must know what is good or bad. Your goodness should come out naturally. You should be able to control his own self. Not going overboard, and not going less that that. You should be able to give or do just the right amount of everything. Balance is essential. Because when we start losing control of everything, losing balance in our lives, that's when we end up destroying ourselves. And that can never make you happy.

If you focus on the good and start staying away from the bad, then I guess that's when you'll become happy. Knowing that you're not hurting anyone. That what you're doing is actually for the better.

Happiness, I think, also includes putting GOD in the center of your life. He knows what is the best for us. We have to act according to His plans, to His laws. If He plays a big part in our life, then that alone can make you happy.

I think, there's also one important factor to be considered in order for us to be happy.

That is, if we have LOVE in our hearts. Love is good. If you have this in your heart, then life will never be miserable. There will never be sadness. But, moderation should also take place in loving. Too much of it, sometimes, cannot be good. Well, not only love. Too much of everything is bad. That is why I said, we must learn to take control.

But if we have the right amount of love, then the world will be a better place to live in. It will be a happy place for every man. Because love can make us do extraordinary things. It can make our lives better. Of course, if you love someone, you wouldn't hurt them. And that is considered a good act. Loving one another is considered a virtuous act.

So if you love someone, you won't be able hurt them. It is good because it's the right thing. It is according to God's law. Then that is the time when you consider yourself happy.

Well I guess, happiness is deserved by every person in this world. It doesn't depend on material goods or money or freedom. It all goes down to the goodness that's in you. To all the love inside your heart. And to the role that God plays in your life. As long as you have the right amount of these things, the balance that you need, moderation and control, then nothing else matters. You will be happy.

I do not agree that happiness is absolute. That your life needed to be perfect and complete in order to be happy. Sometimes, people can be happy at one time then sad the next. That isn't bad. Because life is not perfect. So everyone has the chance to be happy anytime they want, even if it is only for a short time.

So.. I guess we just have to:

Be good. Live right. Love much. Have faith. Take control.

Then life will be better. And you can have as much happiness in your life as you want.

Haay. This is my PD paper. I hope this make sense. I'm tired. I'll go sleep na. Goodnite world!

It all goes down to us.

LIFE

It's getting harder and harder. Specifically, the STUDYING part.I don't know what to do... I'm not much of a "masipag" person. Procrastination is still in me. Cramming is my expertise. How? How do you think will I be able to get on with this......

That's exactly how I feel right now. I'm really worried about the future. How am I going to do this. How am I going to start everything. What am I going to put there. I'm talking about our mandatory cultural tourism paper and the tourism research, of course. It's really hard, you know. At least for me. Because in this kind of situation, you really, really, really have to FOCUS. Put your whole self into it. Start an in-depth study of that topic. Read. Research. Write. THINK.

That's probably everything that I should do. But it's HARD. It's FREAKING HARD. I guess it's also because we haven't really started it yet. But I hope to God that we will be able to do this right. That we will all be able to make the right decisions all the time. That we'll all be patient and very, very, very understanding of each other. And that we'll have the strength to do everything.

It's part of life. Problems are part of life. because it is through problems that we are able learn. It is through problems that we are able to understand more.

Honestly... I'm afraid of the future. I'm afraid of what the future has in store for me. Will I be the one that I'm thinking and dreaming of? Or will it be the opposite. Scary. If it's the opposite, it really scares me. But what if?

Haay.... Life will always be hard. It will always be our choice if we'll give up or fight the battle.

Anyway... it's all part of it. All of us will go through it. I guess we'll just have to continue and never stop believing.
There's a thing called faith, you know?

"Faith is believing when there's nothing else you can do."

My Life's turning point, I guess.

Well. First of all, I really don't know what say. I mean, I want to say something about what happened to my life for the past year, but I don't know how. I don't know what words should I use.

I have read my past blog posts on two different sites. And all I can say is... I have changed. Really changed.

I feel that I am much more complete now than before. I am happier. Really happy. I'm much more contented with what I have. What else? I think I have EVERYTHING that I need to have in this world. A loving and cheerful family. An amazing group of friends that will never let me down. And a bestfriend/lover/boyfriend/family all in one person. What more can I ask for?

I guess I just realized that I am a much different person from last year. I'm much better now. And I'm proud to say that. I've been through a lot. Now I'm ready to truly live. No more insecurities. No more immaturity. Time to be a woman and face the challenges of real life.

This is a change that I've welcomed from the bottom of my heart. The change, that I guess, I've been waiting for.

I love life and I'm gonna start living it.

First BORA experience.

Boracay Island is one of the major tourist destinations in the country. With its white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, it is like a hypnotic magnet that lures the travelers into a lotus existence and fascinate their eyes. Located in the Western Visayas region, Boracay Island is a destination that is truly captivating.

The first time I went to Boracay was last November 2009. Together with my family, we spent 3days and 2nights in this beautiful island. We stayed at La Carmela de Boracay located at Station 2, the place which is roughly the center of the island and meant for those who want to be within proximity of the bars.

During our first day, we ate at a simple restaurant. They serve food that are grilled, like, inihaw na manok, sisig, bangus sisig, barbecues, and the like. But then on our last night on Bora, my parents chose to eat at a place near the market where you will be the one to buy the ingredients that will be used in your chosen dish, and they will be the one who will cook it for you. I think the reason why they put a wet market near the resto is so that tourists can buy sea foods and/vegetables that will be used in their cuisine and easily bring it to the restaurant for them to cook. In our case, we chose sinigang na hipon, buttered shrimps, and sweet and sour fish. Two thumbs up to their cooking because it was really delicious. We practically ate more rice than we usually did. We truly enjoyed these gratifying dishes, especially the sinigang na hipon. I think for some it might just be an ordinary viand, but there's something unusual in it. But don't get me wrong, it tasted unusual but unusual that is good. Maybe it's the shrimps because they are fresh, or it can be the vegetables. Maybe its their way of cooking. I really can't figure it out. But it is really good. Totally delightful.

My 3 days in Bora had been a precious one. A truly unforgettable one. It is an experience that I will always cherish and a memory that will always be remembered.

Finally.. I found you.

"You are the one
That i've been searching for my whole life through,
You are the one that i've been looking for
And now that i have found you,
I'll never let you go, i'll hold you in my arms
You are the one... "

I just heard this song a while ago..
It made me realize something..
That now... I can finally say, "YOU are the ONE".

Is it too much? It is never enough.

(BRACE YOURSELF 'CAUSE I'M BECOMING CHEESIER BY THE MINUTE. LOL. )

Last year, I found this thing they called LOVE. From then on, I started seeing this special person every single day. Yeah I know it might seem too much but actually for me, it is not enough. Yes.. it is not enough.

If you have been in love, you'll know how I feel. Wanting to be with your special someone for a MUCH MUCH LONGER TIME. Wanting to spend the rest of your life with him but for the mean time, you can't.. It is quite hard. The thing that makes it harder is the fact that you can do nothing about it. You'll just have to wait for the RIGHT time.

According to Malcolm S. Forbes: "Presence is more than just being there." And it's true. Because in their presence, you'll feel almost everything that you want to feel: you'll feel happy, safe, secured, assured, appreciated, and most especially, loved by someone unconditionally. They'll become your security blanket. Someone whom you know will be there fo you all the time, and someone who won't let you down.

Yes I know that your family and friends will also be able to provide you with these things, but really, a love from a special someone is much more different.

Hmm. I really don't know if Im making sense but.. this is how I feel. Im in love and I just want to express it. It is a great feeling and I would never regret feeling it.

I guess I can now say: I love being in love. :)

An Unexpected LOVE.

The Holiday Season's here finally! 2009 is soon to end.

Well.. What was this year like? It is sort of unexpected really. So many things happened. Good and Bad. One day, I was so broken-hearted, I didn't think I could move on. Then the next day I'm in looove. Yeah, it might be cheesy for some. But then what the heck,at least I got what I'm wishing for right?

I got someone who's going to take care of me, look after me, and most especially, love me. I think that's enough. And though we've only been together for a short time, it seems like we know each other longer than that. I want to see him everyday, as in every single day. It won't be complete without seeing him. I don't know. It's my first time to be in a relationship and I guess, that's how it feels. You'll feel HAPPY, CONTENTED and.. COMPLETE. *sigh* Well I guess I'm in love. It shows. LOL.

Anyway.. I hope everybody's going to have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY HAPPY NEW YEAR! Stay in love people. Love Life. :)
